CDACPC14: My last-minute card

Hi, folks! Well, it’s been really busy around my house, lately. Lots of things to do, places to go and people to see. But, I finally made a card for the Crafter’s Digital Art Center Progressive Freebie Challenge, and just under the wire! It is NOT, by any stretch of the imagination, a great card. In fact, I was really considering just not posting it at all. But, I wanted to play fair, so here it is. I think it really needs…something…I’m just not sure what it is. Maybe the basket is too small for the size of the card? Too many scallops. Not enough colour? Just plain boring?

Anyway, on the positive side, the basket image is really lovely. Thanks, to Shelly’s Images for providing this digi for us to use for CDACPC#14.

I coloured it with my Copic markers and added silk flowers to the basket. The beautiful scalloped edging was made with my new Martha Stewart punch.

I welcome suggestions on how to improve my craft, so if you have any constructive criticism, I would love to hear it. I hope you will drop by again, soon. It’s so lovely having visitors!

  1. This is a beautiful card. I love the colors and the coloring of the basket. The flowers are a great element. TFS!

  2. I know so how you feel…most cards I do I get the same feeling, but I have to tell you that you are so wrong about this card. I think it has the perfect amount of scallops, the colors are wonderful and the basket is just the right size. Love the flowers that you added into it too 😀
