Important message to my readers

Important message to my readers,

Gloria 2010It’s been three years since I first started blogging about the Silhouette Cameo. As an early adopter of the Cameo, there wasn’t anywhere to turn for help and, as most of you know, the on-line user’s manual isn’t very helpful. Through trial and error and many many hours of research, I gradually mastered the basics and began to create some really cool projects. I blogged about my Cameo successes and failures, and soon started to receive questions from Cameo-owners all over the world. Over the years, I have answered thousands of questions from my readers and, in the process, I have been challenged to continue learning, experimenting and researching the ins-and-outs of the Silhouette Cameo. Today, with almost 100,000 crafters visiting Globug Ideas every year, it has become impossible for me to respond to every request for help. I will, however, continue to read your e-mail and to answer as many of your questions as possible. I will focus on questions that I haven’t seen before so that I can continue to provide you with new information. All of my Silhouette Cameo articles will remain posted for you read anytime you need help. I hope that you will also continue to help each other, by sharing your expertise in the comments. Following below is a link to an article that I posted last year right at the end of December. It contains links to several articles which will be helpful to both new and experienced Cameo users. Thank you being part of the Globug Ideas experience! I hope you will come back often!

Did you get a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas?

  1. I am a cameo owner and have collected many studio and school files and I have the designer edition. I have watched and read many tutorials on how to drag and drop the files into my library. I have had no luck and am so frustrated. It won’t work for either files. Any help would be sooooo appreciated!

    • Hi, Michelle,

To save files in your library, click on File in the upper-left corner of your screen. Then, look down the list until you find Import to My Library. Click on it and then you will be taken to your computer, where you can select the files you want to import into Silhouette Studio.

      I hope this helps!!

      🙂

  2. Hi, I have the silhouette designer edition. All of a sudden I can’t print. If I type something in Word it will print but I can’t print from my silhouette. Can you help? Thank you

  3. I am just writing to say how good you are to be available to all of us having problems with our Silhouette Cameos. I discovered your blog and have been reading it on and off all evening, and you have addressed some of my problems already. Every time I use my Cameo, I seem to come up with yet another problem, but reading your tips helps me to have hope that it will soon be smooth sailing for me as well. I think Silhouette should put a notice on the machines they sell, warning potential customers that using their product is not for the faint of heart. At least you would know what to expect
Again thank you for your help?

    • Hi, Janie,

Thanks, so much, for taking time to write such a lovely message! I enjoy helping other crafters get through the rough spots…and, as you say, learning to use the Cameo is not for the faint of heart!!” But, with patience and some trial-and-error, you will truly fall in love with your Cameo. Once you get going, there’s no end to what you can do with it.

I am really glad that you are finding some good tips and tricks on Globug Ideas!! I will continue to answer as many questions as possible…but the more Cameos that get sold, the more questions I receive. LOL!!! But, I love finding solutions to problems!

Thanks, again, for visiting my blog. I hope you will come back, often!!

      Good luck and happy crafting!

      Gloria
