Lighthouse card

This is my husband, Peter, or as I call him, “Sweet Pea.” I think he’s adorable and kind and sweet! Anyway, earlier this week, he celebrated an important birthday. I won’t say which one, but let’s just say that it ends with an “O”…if you get my drift.

I wanted to make him a birthday card that would have some relevance for him…but, I’ve done the golf cards and the computer cards–enough is enough!

Then I remembered how much he loves the east coast, with its beautiful coastal drives, stretches of red sand and quaint old lighthouses. Here’s what I created, just for my Sweet Pea! It really takes me back to the red sands of Prince Edward Island, Canada’s tiniest and most beautiful province.

For the inside of the card, I chose the last verse from a beautiful and well-loved Irish blessing…

May green be the grass you walk on,

May blue be the skies above you,

May pure be the joys that surround you,

May true be the hearts that love you.

I hope this inspires you to create a special greeting card for someone you love. It just feels so good to see them smile when they open it!

Thank you for dropping by!
