Pretty Peony Card

Pretty Peonies Birthday Card

I think everyone loves the sweet scent of peonies. Their delicate petals and pastel colours are one of spring’s special gifts.

These pretty peonies are by Marcella Hawley of Power Poppy. Just as a note, I’m not, in any way, affiliated with Power Poppy or Marcella Hawley, I just thought I’d include the link so you can visit her site and browse through the beautiful floral digis.

Julie, July 30, 2016.jpg--CU of cupI really enjoyed making this birthday card for my dear friend, Julie. As always, I coloured it with my Copic markers and then added shine and dimension to the cups with 3-D Crystal Lacquer. I tried to capture it on the striped mug, but I just couldn’t get the right lighting. I think you can see the shine and 3-D effect quite clearly on the polka dot tea cup. Isn’t it pretty?

Happy crafting, happy colouring, happy everything!

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2012!

A brand new crafting year has just begun and I have about a kajillion project ideas!

I’m setting some serious crafting goals, this year. For example, I joined the Christmas Cards 2012 Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. My goal is to make two Christmas cards every month so that by December 2012, I will have two dozen hand-crafted cards ready to send to family and friends. No frantic last-minute scrambling for me!

I also joined the All-Occasion Card Challenge 2012 at Splitcoast Stampers and plan to make two cards a month, specifically for family and friends’ birthdays, anniversaries and two very important graduations.

There are loads of other challenges at Splitcoast Stampers, so pop over and check it out for yourself! I bet you a dollar-to-a-doughnut you’ll find a challenge that’s perfect for you!

Happy crafting!

P.S. Please note that I do not represent Splitcoast Stampers or any other organization or retailer. My goal is simply to share good ideas with fellow crafters. Lots more to come in this wonderful New Year!
