ATC’s: Tiny Quilts…

Tiny Quilts

I’ve just completed my last two ATC’s, for a while. This one is a personal two-for-two trade with a nice lady from my home country of Canada. We decided that the subject of this swap would be “quilts.” My swap partner is actually making a tiny quilt from fabric…can you imagine how detailed that will be? I decided to work with my favourite medium which is paper. So, here’s what I came up with…

I really enjoyed colouring this cutie with my Copic markers. To add some depth, I created a second copy of the quilt and popped it up off the card. Then, I used another copy of the polka dot sheet to add yet another layer. I’m so glad I finally found a way to use this adorable little munchkin in his colourful quilt.

Once it was printed out and cut to size, I applied pieces of washi tape to the white squares. Next, using a gel pen, i added the faux stitching to the black squares and the borders. I’m happier with the outcome than I thought I’d be.

Now that I’ve completed these two ATC’s, I’m going to get back to my Graphic 45 mini-album–a project that I’ve been wanting to work on for about three years…but more to come on that one, later.

Thanks come dropping in. I hope you’ll come by again soon.

Happy crafting, happy everything!

Gloria
