If you’ve ever taken part in an ATC Swap, you know how much fun it is to create and receive these little works of art. My ATC binder is getting thicker by the month, with ATC’s from all over the world!
Commonly known as an “ATC,” an “Artist Trading Card” measures 2.5″ x 3.5″–exactly. Artists and crafters enjoy creating and trading ATC’s on whatever subject suits their fancy.
For this swap called, “Button Up,” we had to create an ATC using at least one button. We could be as silly and creative as we wished. This was three-for-three swap, which means that I created three ATC’s for trade and will receive three in return. I always create an extra one for the kind person who is hosting the swap. When I make all ATC’s alike, I also make one for myself. In this case, I just took photos that I will save in my ATC album. I hope everyone likes my “little works of art.” Below is a closer look at my “Button Up” ATC’s.
“I love you to the Moon and Back.”
The button has a “man-in-the-moon” face that, unfortunately, has a glare from the light and doesn’t show too well. I used Crystal Lacquer to give the moon a 3-D effect (looks much better in person).
“Button up you Overcoat.”
This one, with the serious-looking gray jacket, was inspired by the old song from the 1940’s, which some of you might remember…”button up your overcoat when the skies are gray, take good care of yourself, you belong to me.”
This was my first one, just simple flowers behind a little picket fence. Not too inspired, but I think I got better as I went along. LOL!“What is it…you decide.”
And, finally, maximum silliness with this whisical button-faced character. If you’d like to take part in ATC swaps, drop by ATC’s For All (AFA) and join the fun! You will find me there in the membership list under “Globug Ideas.” Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there.
Thanks, so much for dropping in. I hope you will stop by again soon.
