One more ATC!

Secret Garden

These days, I’m so busy with work, landscaping/gardening and just keeping up with the laundry, shopping and regular house chores, that I barely have any “fun time.” But, I did manage to make a few ATC”s (Artist Trading Cards) for some Swap-Bot ATC swaps. Here’s my last one, for a while. Hopefully when the fall arrives and the outdoor chores end, I will be back in my studio churning out greeting cards, scrapbooks, mini-albums and, of course, more ATC’s!

Book Title ATC (1)So, here is my last Swap-Bot ATC for this summer. We had to make an ATC based on a book title chosen by our swap partner. The title I had to work with was “Secret Garden.”

I used my Copic Markers to colour it and, as always, add some bling with my sparkle glue. The little branches were made with my Martha Stewart branch punch and my Silhouette Cameo.

I antiqued the edges with a metallic copper ink pad.

If you have made any ATC’s, give it a try.

It’s so much fungetting those wonderful packages in the mail!

ATC–Show me your hat!

Swap-Bot always has a bunch of great ATC swaps on the go.

This one was called, Show us your Hat.

So, here you go, here’s my hat (with a little French lesson thrown in, free!!)

Voici mon beau chapeau! (That’s French for “here’s my nice hat!”)

I created this one with one of my favourite Priscillastyles vintage images.

To add a little je-ne-sais-quoi (that’s French for “whatever”), I topped

the hat off with a couple of soft white feathers and a delicate flower.

A casually tied foulard (that’s French for “scarf’) and voila, cèst finit (that`s French for “it’s finished!”)

And now, this post est finit!! …well, almost…see my last two photos, below. LOL!

Oops! My ATC says “Swat-Bot” instead of “Swap-Bot”…duh!!!

Having so much fun with ATC’s!

ATC’s–Artist Trading Cards–are so much fun to make and to trade! I’ve been swapping with crafters and artists from all over the world. Here are some of my recent Swap-Bot ATC’s…

Swap-Bot: Adventkalendar (This one doesn’t get mailed out until July 25, but I’m always an early bird!)

Swap-Bot: Beach/Water

Swap-Bot ATCs–“Stamp It”

Hi, folks! I’m back, again, with my second ATC post this week! This one, which is for Swap-Bot, is all about stamping. Our assignment was to create an ATC (artist trading card) that included a stamp on it–we could stamp an image, a message, a background, or anything else that struck our fancy. Here’s what I came up with (in three easy steps)…

I chose a pretty yellow gingham cardstock and stamped the first image.  It didn’t look like much, at this point!

I chose a pretty yellow gingham cardstock and stamp the first image.

Next, I used a little stamp that has different sized flowers on it, and stamped randomly on the background. So, now it looked a little more interesting, but definitely needed some pizzazz…

And, now, for my favourite part–the colouring. I used my Copic markers to colour the flowers and the butterfly (or is it a dragonfly?). I then antiqued the edge with a rust-coloured stamp pad. And, last, but most important, I used my sparkle glue to give it some depth and the all important, bling!!

It may not be a masterpiece, but it was fun to create and it makes me happy! ATCs are fun and easy to make. Why not try one, yourself? It’s really fun to swap with artists and crafters around the globe. In this swap, I am trading ATCs with  a crafter in the Netherlands, one in Georgia and one in Virginia. I can’t wait to see what they send me! Every ATC swap will be based on different technique…who knows what the next one will be? LOL!
